Happy Halloween

Warren took Melanie, Brina and Taylor to Frightmares at Lagoon.  It was a little rainy but they reported having a great time. They did all of the haunted houses and rode some of the big roller coasters. To Melanie's disappointment, they don't allow costumes.

Halloween is a very celebrated holiday at doTERRA. This year we were asked to come up with a theme for our area and decorate and dress accordingly. On the email team, we are all about simple but classy. We came up with the idea to be emojis and decorate our desks with talk bubbles. doTERRA brought in food trucks for lunch and there was a festive mood all day.

It wouldn't be Halloween, if you didn't carve a pumpkin.

Jessica's Dark Vader jack-o-lantern and Marie's more traditional design all lit up for the trick-or-treaters.

Melanie put a lot of time and effort into her Cheshire Cat costume this year. She and Marie had fun dieing her hair purple and pink.
Warren wanted to freak out some trick-or-treaters. He and his green friend handed out candy all night. (The green arm is his real hand and the gloved hand is a fake.)
It was a very creative last minute costume.

Dressing up for Bridals

Melanie will be our head floral designer for the wedding. She put together this bouquet for Jessica and Clayton's bridal pictures

I'm so excited that Glenn agreed to be the photographer for the wedding.
Here is a behind the scenes picture.
Megan did Jessica's hair and then came to help with the pictures.

Fall Break Day 3: Bryce Canyon

In Bryce park we did the Wall Street to the Queens Garden loop. It was a perfect day for hiking and very beautiful.

We wore them out.

Fall Break Day 2: Duck Creek Village, Mammoth Cave, Cedar Breaks National Monument

The condo in Duck Creek Village was just as nice as we expected. There was a nice living area with a full kitchen and dining area. The girls loved sleeping in the loft up the spiral staircase. There were also three private bedrooms with king or queen size beds and four bathrooms (2 showers).

We told Clayton and Jessica they needed to practice getting their picture taken for their Bridals.
Then we decided to show them how it is done.

Looking for the cave we found this huge pile of volcanic rock.  The girls had a great time bouldering around on them.
The caves were great.  Large underground tunnels to climb through. Some of them were tall enough to stand up or crouch through.
Cedar Breaks National Monument was closed for the season but you wouldn't know it by the amount of visitors. We walked the rim train for a bit and took some pictures. It is beautiful but it was also chilly.

Fall Break Day 1: Zion National Park

Before Jessica and Clayton got engaged, we planned a trip with the Brown family to Southern Utah and booked a condo. We were excited to get away to see our beautiful National Parks.

Weeping Rock

A while back, Warren asked a park ranger if there are any slot canyons in Zions. He was told about Hidden Canyon and we put it on our bucket list. This is listed as a difficult hike but the trail is so well groomed and the scenery is so beautiful, it is a pleasure to hike. We didn't get any complaints from the kids. It was also a plus that it was 70 degrees: perfect hiking weather.

Stairs carved into the rock and a chain to hang onto.

The Fall Colors were in full bloom in the canyon. It was a beautiful day and we took lots of pictures.

Tony hiked ahead with Trevor, Bryson, Melanie, and Alora. They may or may not have taken this sign literally. They spun around and then kept exploring up the slot canyon. The groomed trail was finished and so it involved a lot of bouldering. They said the fall colors were spectacular.

After the hike and still smiling.
Warren caught Melanie a blue belly newt to hold for a few minutes.
