Graduation Open House

In order to celebrate Jessica's three graduations we had an open house.  It was a fun night.  Beautiful weather.  Good food.  Great company...
We had a small display of some of Jessica's high school memories.  I also got out all of her scrapbooks and we had fun reminiscing about her life.  She is such a cute girl!
The food:  fresh fruit, chips and salsa, frosted brownie bites, euclairs and lemonade.  My sweet neighbors Amy and Jill came over in the afternoon and cut up all the fruit for me.  They even cleaned the kitchen and took out the trash when they were done.  It was so nice.
Jessica met KT when they were in the 5th grade.  They are still best friends and will both be at BYU in the fall.
This is Mrs. Evans, Jessica's Kindergarten teacher and more recently her advisor in special needs mutual.

This is Sister Allsop, another advisor in special needs mutual.
This is Cathy, "with a 'C'", Jessica special needs buddy.
Rod and Paul Hill, our next door neighbors for all of Jessica's Elementary School Years.  They have known Jessica since she was 3 years old.  They are like extra grandparents.  They live in Saratoga Springs now but we still keep in touch.
More "adopted" grandparents. These are our home teachers Richard and Alice Southard. They are really sweet to support the kids in their activities.

KT, Kara, Jessica and Sara
The new sand is a big draw for the neighbor kids.  Melanie is loving it.
My Grandma Taylor's Sister Joanna.  Aunt Joanna is very sweet to attend as many family activities as she can squeeze in to her schedule.
Laura, Melanie, and Ashlyn
Sara, Garrett, Jessica, KT, and Mary
The Mitchell's:  Dave, Amy, and Emily

My sister Connie and her girls drove down from Draper.

A High School Graduate

Jessica graduated from UCAS on May 26th with high honors.  We are so proud of her.  The graduation was held in the Provo Tabernacle.

The National Honor Society

It was a small graduating class so they had the graduate stop on the stage while they listed all their accomplishments.  This included what scholarships they earned, what university they plan to attend, and what they plan to major in at the university.  They are a very accomplished senior class.

That hat would not stay on.

Graigry

Graigry just finished up 10th grade.
He did well in school...

... and got to make one of his dreams come true...
Mary's Memory:  Not long after Graig  started taking violin lessons (he was 5 1/2) he told his violin teacher, Trudy Meacham, that he had a dream he played with the Utah Symphony and she told him she thought he would play with them one day.  That day came 10 years later on May 25, 2010 when he played as part of the All-Star Orchestra in a side by side concert with the Utah Symphony in Abravanel Hall in SLC.
Graig really enjoyed working with David Cho.

The Skittle game

Thanks for the use of the laser tag guns, Devin.

New sand in the sandbox was one of Melanie's birthday gifts.

Birthday morning Melanie woke up to presents and balloons

A new dress...
Melanie wore it to her violin recital on her birthday.

After the recital, we went to COSTCO for pepperoni pizza and free Creamies.

Melanie picked out two fish for her birthday.
We moved the fish tank to her bedroom.
