We love to see the Temple
As suggested in stake conference, we drove up as a family to walk around the Mount Timpanogos Temple grounds Sunday afternoon. It is such a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. It is great to know that because of Christ's atonement and the sealing ordinance of the temple our family can be forever!

Sunday Dinner at the Southards
Everyone should be so lucky.... We were invited to Sunday dinner at the home of our home teachers, Richard and Alice Southard. Everything was so gourmet and there was so much of it. Along with the food, which they ate until they were almost sick, the kids loved the gold plated silverware and fancy plates. Of course, the company was great too. Brother Southard gave us our lesson out on the back porch while we digested and the kids played with their dogs. After all that kindness, they sent the leftovers (and there were lots) home with us to enjoy later.

Piano Recital
Jessica and Tyler had a great piano recital at Piano Gallery on Sept. 13th. Tyler played "Sonantina" (Moderato and Romance) and Jessica played "Fur Elise" and the concerto she is going to play in the upcoming concerto festival. I had never heard the concerto with her teacher playing the second part. It was fantastic. Congratulations on the hard work kids.
Our brick mailbox
Over eight years ago Warren started building a brick mailbox for us and the next door neighbor to share. He got as far as a pedestal and that is where the project came to a screeching halt. The pedestal has had a piece of wood on it to which the mailboxes were attached. Lately the wood was falling apart and had to be replaced, so Warren decided to resume the project. Thanks for the new mailbox Warren.
Labor day fun
Jessica and Graig spent the night at their grandparents house so Graig could go on a 50-mile bike ride with my Dad Labor Day morning. Tyler, Melanie and I cleaned up the house and went to the swimming pool so I could swim laps and they could play.
